For many years the band has led a successful learner class within their hall at the Cartside Community Centre. These classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and sees learners of all ages and standards receive expert tuition from experienced and vetted instructors.

Piping and Drumming Qualifications Board (PDQB) Examinations
In addition to it's learner class, the band also offers its members and the wider pipe band community the opportunity to participate in PDQB exams in all levels from Level 2 (Practice Chanter/Stick and Pad) to Level 8 (Piping/Snare Drumming).

The course usually begins in September with the examination diet being held in early December. The courses are also accredited by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). Course fees are approximately £120 plus exam fees.
